Welcome to Lake View Cottage, a quaint 200 year old character cottage set in heart of the Northumberland National Park. In a prime location our cottage boasts spectacular views of Kielder Water, the surrounding forest and Yarrow Moor itself. Additionally, because of being within the Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park, a clear night gives a breathtaking panorama of our Milky Way Galaxy.

Kielder is home to an array of exciting wildlife such as otters, water voles, roe deer, foxes, badgers, osprey, red squirrels and a whole host more.

Relax on the outside decking while taking in the incredible vista or for the more energetic, local activities include cycling, walking, fishing and sailing. The internationally famed Kielder Observatory is but a short drive away.

A little over a mile away is the village of Falstone where a tea room and pub can be found offering a good range of meals and beverages. Slightly less than a mile away lies the hamlet of Stannersburn where a quintessential country inn serves real ales and fine food.

Bellingham is located approximately 10 miles away with a greater choice of pubs and shops including an ATM and fuel station.

Heading around the lake less than a mile away lies Tower Knowe where a visitor centre, coffee shop and gift shop can be found.

A little further away Leaplish Waterside Park offers a restaurant, leisure club facilities and a birds of prey centre.

Continuing on to Kielder village, Kielder Castle (the Duke of Northumberland's fortified hunting lodge) can be found complete with tea room and visitor centre. The Anglers Arms in the village offers home cooked food and a selection of beverages additionally a 24 hour fuel station is located just outside the village.

The historical Border towns of Jedburgh (34 miles) and Hawick (33 miles) are readily accessible offering good shopping, restaurants and places of interest to visit.
